Braids by Raw was birthed in Atlantic City New Jersey in Sonny's Barbershop the heart of the city I worked as a stylist in the barbershop moving on to Shore beauty school and learning from my family from Ghana and fellow community members. I went on to work in my first African Braid shop in early 2000s. Moving to the south honing in on my craft building skills from the African culture and the African-American culture as well as Southern African-American culture (Florida -Georgia) for many years. Mastering styles from locs, quick weaves, sew-ins, natural and weaved in cornrow styles and multiple different styles of box braids.
